I feel deeply grateful to God for the opportunity I had to walk together with the faithful of this parish. Those years were truly a time of grace, fellowship, and many meaningful pastoral experiences. From the very beginning of my ministry in the parish, I felt a special responsibility to care for every member of the community, particularly the elderly. Many of them experienced difficulty kneeling during prayers in the cathedral. Keeping their needs in mind, I felt inspired to provide kneelers throughout the cathedral so that everyone could participate more comfortably in prayer and worship. With the generous support and cooperation of the parishioners, funds were collected and kneelers were prepared and installed across the cathedral. It was truly heartening to witness the spirit of unity and willingness with which the faithful came forward to support this initiative. Another deeply meaningful experience during my time in the parish took place during the sacred season of Lent. Lent invites us to renew our relationship with God through prayer, sacrifice, and acts of charity. Inspired by this spirit, I encouraged the parishioners to express their faith through concrete acts of love and generosity toward those in need within our own community. The faithful responded with great compassion and generosity. Through their wholehearted contributions, we were able to build a house for a parishioner who was facing serious financial difficulties. In the following Lenten season, the same spirit of charity continued to grow, and with the support of many generous parishioners, we were able to purchase a small house for another poor family in the parish. Witnessing the joy, relief, and restored dignity of these families was a deeply touching experience and a beautiful witness to Christian charity. Another beautiful initiative during my time in the parish was the introduction of the Novena in honour of Our Lady of Fatima, celebrated each year from the 1st to the 13th of May. These days were filled with prayer, devotion, and active participation of the faithful, culminating in a grand celebration on the final day. It was truly inspiring to witness the deep faith and devotion of the parish community as they gathered to venerate Our Lady of Fatima. These moments of prayer strengthened the spiritual life of the parish and helped bring the community closer together in faith. Along with these initiatives, great importance was given to nurturing the spiritual life of the parish. Regular celebrations of the Holy Eucharist, Lenten devotions, parish prayer gatherings, catechism classes for children, and various faith formation activities all contributed to the spiritual growth of the community. I was always inspired by the enthusiasm and devotion with which the parishioners actively participated in the life and mission of the Church. A parish truly grows when its members pray together, support one another, and live out the values of the Gospel in their daily lives. During my time here, I witnessed many beautiful examples of faith, generosity, and unity among the families of this parish. I thank God for the opportunity I had to serve this wonderful community, and I remain deeply grateful for the cooperation, encouragement, and love shown by the faithful during those years. May God Almighty, through the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima, continue to bless us all, especially the families of Our Lady of Fatima Cathedral, Udaipur.
